Second learning expedition within the Erasmus+ project PROMISE (Personalized Medicine and Inquiry-Based Education) was held at the beautiful Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences in Split, Croatia from 22nd to 26th August 2022. During these five days students had lectures and workshops on two main topics:
1. How to successfully apply for EU funds, and
2. Essential skills for better teamwork and project communication.
Branka Bernard (Project Coordinator, MedILS) introduced the EU funding scheme and shared numerous tips and tricks on how to effectively write a project proposal, Sandra Kostić (University of Split) talked about the importance of communication in a professional setting with the accent on diversity and inclusion, while Tamara Milošević (Project Coach, InSciEd) gave the workshop on the storytelling.
Throughout the week students were working in smaller groups on developing their own project ideas, whether the topic is a research project or an educational project, and on the last day of learning expedition they have used all the knowledge gained from the week and presented their project ideas. Congratulations to all groups on developing some really interesting project proposals!
